Another stage of a sham trial against Armenian prisoners unlawfully held in Azerbaijan concluded on Friday at the Baku Court of Appeals, where the court examined the prisoners’ appeals.
According to Azerbaijani media reports, each Armenian prisoner of war was provided with an interpreter and legal counsel.
At the beginning of the hearing, the court announced that a representative of the Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner’s Office was also attending the proceedings as an observer.
Presenting their arguments before the court, the Armenian prisoners stated that they do not plead guilty to the charges brought against them.
Judge Rahimov declared the appellate proceedings closed and retired to the deliberation room to issue what is expected to be yet another unlawful ruling.
