Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, met with President Sadyr Nurgojo uulu Japarov.
Referring to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, President Japarov welcomed the meeting held in Washington, the declaration adopted as a result, and the initialed peace agreement.
Simonyan drew the Kyrgyz President’s attention to the issue of Armenian prisoners of war and illegally detained persons in Azerbaijan, stressing that it requires an urgent solution.
The sides also discussed cooperation within international organizations and various issues on the bilateral agenda.
