During a working visit to France, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with the President of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet. The discussions focused on issues related to the Armenia–France and Armenia–EU agendas, with an emphasis on interparliamentary cooperation.
The sides also addressed regional matters, underlining the need to finalize and sign the already negotiated agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Alen Simonyan drew his French counterpart’s attention to the issue of detainees and individuals being held unlawfully in Azerbaijan, also highlighting the importance of addressing the cases of missing Armenian servicemen.
