Under the leadership of the Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, Armen Abazyan, a regular session of the Interagency Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons (whose whereabouts are unknown) was held on June 11.
As reported to Armenpress by the National Security Service of Armenia, the session began with opening remarks by the Commission’s Chair, Armen Abazyan, Director of the National Security Service. He presented the outcomes of meetings held in the preceding period and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to continuing comprehensive and coordinated efforts aimed at clarifying the fate of missing persons.
Representatives of the Investigative Committee presented the results of ongoing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the disappearances.
According to the source, the meeting also included discussions on how to organize the Commission’s work more effectively.
At the end of the session, Commission Chair Armen Abazyan expressed hope that joint and coordinated efforts would yield tangible results in uncovering the fate of missing persons.
