A remarkable episode took place during the ongoing fake trial in Azerbaijan, involving Davit Ishkhanyan, writes Armenian National Assembly member Tigran Abrahamyan on social media.
“During the ‘trial,’ Ishkhanyan reminded that during one of the previous ‘trials,’ he had expressed a desire to familiarize himself with the records of the May 24 and 26 ‘court hearings,’ but the judge responded dismissively.
Why is this circumstance noteworthy? The entire course of trials for Armenians held in Azerbaijani prisons is riddled with a heavy dose of falsifications, from testimonies to translations.
Furthermore, several participants in the fake trial have conveyed to their family members that various pieces of information published in the Azerbaijani media regarding different aspects of the ‘trial’ do not reflect the truth; their words were distorted, and in some cases, presented in a completely opposite way.
I believe that in order to document this falsification, Davit Ishkhanyan is trying to review the records of the previous sessions to uncover these falsifications and prevent further deceptions, which the court is delaying.
In any case, our compatriots continue their struggle under extremely unequal conditions in a difficult situation.
Freedom to our compatriots in Azerbaijani prisons!”
[Davit Ishkhanyan] recalled that he had requested to review the minutes of the court session held on May 26 in one of the previous proceedings, and he stated that he also wanted to review the minutes of the court proceedings held on May 24, in addition to that date.

Judge Zeynal Agayev informed the defendant that conditions would be created in the coming days to review the minutes of the court session, at which time he could review the minutes he requested.
