{"id":1919,"date":"2026-07-27T10:42:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T10:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freearmenianhostages.net\/?p=1919"},"modified":"2026-07-29T10:53:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:53:34","slug":"urgent-call-needed-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freearmenianhostages.net\/?p=1919","title":{"rendered":"Urgent Call Needed Now"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The lawyer of 56-year-old Lyudvig Mkrtchyan, who has already been held in an Azerbaijani prison for six years, Luciana Minasian, has appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, demanding that Mkrtchyan be immediately allowed to call his wife.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-color-1-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Lyudvig Mkrtchyan has not spoken to his wife in over a month.<br>The last time Hranush Shahbazyan heard her husband\u2019s voice was on 19 June.<br>During that call, Lyudvig told her he had felt so weak that he collapsed.<br>They took him for heart imaging\u2026 and then nothing. No diagnosis. No explanation. And complete silence ever since.<br>This is a 56-year-old man who has already spent nearly six years in a prison in Baku.<br>His latest medical results are alarming:<br>\u2022 Leukocytes almost double the normal level<br>\u2022 Widespread inflammation <br>\u2022 Severe heart damage (left ventricular hypertrophy, diastolic dysfunction, aortic insufficiency)<br>His condition is deteriorating. His family is left in the dark. And still, no phone call.<br>A single call would not free him. It would not cure him. But it would allow a wife to hear whether her husband is still alive and conscious.<br>It is the absolute minimum of human dignity.<br>I urgently and publicly request the Azerbaijani authorities:<br>Mr. President Aliyev,<br>Allow Lyudvig Mkrtchyan to call his wife Hranush Shahbazyan immediately.<br>No more silence. No more uncertainty. One call.
